A Canadian Easter!

Last year we spent Charlee's first Easter in Prague with our dear co-fam, Ryan and Nicole.

This year Charlee was a bit more aware of her surroundings.  She's been practicing Easter egg hunting for a few weeks now (completely on her own accord) by using a plastic bag that previously held tortilla wraps to hold all her nearest and dearest things (why do we even buy toys?)

This morning when she woke up she saw the kitchen table looking like this and promptly went crazy.

We did a trial run Easter egg hunt in the kitchen with Joel's parents on FaceTime and shortly after we got ready for the day!

Then our guests arrived.  My sister and her boyfriend, Andrew, came for brunch as well as my parents, my friend Karen and our new friends Tom, Liz and their almost two year old girl, Lili.

My dad helped Charlee and Lili collect their eggs and the girls were speedy quick!

Don't mind the big pile of rocks...Joel is repurposing the demolished fireplace from our new master bedroom into a garden wall.

We were also so impressed with how on task and skilled Charlee is with egg hunting - ha!

We quickly snagged this family shot before it started to rain and we all headed inside and ate a lot of carbohydrates and sugar.  Good thing I ran 10k yesterday (thanks Karen!)
